Greetings from ASI headquarters

Further to my two emails sent in April, well over 2000 members have validated/made corrections on the link sent along with the email.

However, a significant number could not validate their details on the link provided due to the following reasons:

  • Email OTP coming late or never
  • Expecting email OTP in the form of SMS on mobile phone
  • Entering OTP sent by SMS for mobile verification in the box meant for email verification

In addition, there were many restrictions in place due to the ongoing General Elections, which also has been a contributing factor.

Therefore, a different strategy is being adopted to overcome this hurdle.

Those who failed to validate their details for whatever reasons in the past three weeks, please contact ASI Head Office ONLY if your details have changed since you last participated in e-voting.

For example, if you have participated in e voting since 2013 and there is no change in your details (ie; NAME, MOBILE NUMBER, EMAIL ID & ADDRESS), nothing needs to be done. Your existing details will remain valid for the forthcoming elections.

Therefore, please call Head office ONLY if you wish to make any corrections to your existing details in ASI records.

This strategy, should hopefully address the issue relating to updating all the existing e registered Members.

With regards to those members who were never e registered and those who never ever participated in e voting since 2013, ASI will contact them individually through the respective National Executive Committee members representing each State and through State Chapter Presidents/Secretaries.
