Sub: Voters list, Elections, ASI, 2019

Warm Greetings from ASI Head Quarters.

I am writing to keep you abreast regarding my efforts over the past few months to ensure as many members become eligible to participate in the forthcoming ASI elections, which are due to be held later this year.

I firmly believe that it is the fundamental right for an ASI Member to participate in ASI Elections. Furthermore, to ensure a vibrant democracy in our Association, it is vitally important for all the members to be given an opportunity to choose their representative/s on the National Executive Committee.

Based upon this premise, I have embarked upon a never before undertaken massive initiative to reach out to the 5000 plus unregistered ASI life members (i.e: those who never ever participated in ASI online voting).Of these 5000 plus unregistered members, only 1660 surgeons had in fact provided their email id and mobile number in their application form at the time of joining ASI.

Out of these 1660 unregistered members, I am pleased to inform you that ASI has verified contact details of 1063 members over the past few months.

I would like to reiterate here that Email id and mobile number are essential for a member to participate in Online voting in ASI elections.

Sadly, 3968 members could not be reached despite my best efforts (UNREGISTERED/UNREACHABLE MEMBERS LIST). This List is displayed on ASI website. I request members in this Group to kindly write to me with your updated Contact details (i.e; email and mobile number)before 31st July 2019 addressed to

As of 30th June 2019, ASI has email id and mobile numbers of 15, 494 members (E REGISTERED LIST). If there are no changes to your Registered details (ie; email id and mobile number), NOTHING needs to be done. However, if there are any changes to your email id/mobile number, please email me with updated details before 31st July 2019.

Based upon inputs from members during this month, the final updated list of ELIGIBLE VOTERS would be displayed on ASI website from 1 August 2019 onwards.

Please note: In accordance with our Constitution, registered details of members (email id and mobile number) on ASI electoral rolls WILL NOT be changed after 15th September 2019 for the election year 2019.
