ASI raises Rs 1 crore for purchase of PPE
The Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) has raised ₹1 crore towards purchase of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for health-care workers and the PM CARES fund.

ASI Office Bearers hand deliver PPEs across India
After an extensive search and negotiating the best possible rates (at a time when PPE manufacturers were few and far between), ASI placed the order to procure the PPEs from a Govt. of India approved manufacturer with an established track record based out of Bengaluru.
Dr. P Raghu Ram took up the arduous task of swiftly identifying the manufacturer and co-ordinated delivery of PPE sets to representatives of ASI in various States, which in turn were “hand-delivered” to healthcare workers in the front line.
