Regional Refresher Courses (RRC 2025)
Dear Members of ASI & Residents in Surgery,
ASI is back with the much awaited flag ship academic programme in the physical format – Regional Refresher Courses (RRC 2025). The RRC will be conducted at four places in India
SCHEDULE OF RRC 2025
Zone – 1 — Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Pondicherry
– August 15, 16 & 17 – Bangalore
Zone – 2 — Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh & Odisha
– August 22, 23 & 24 – Kolkata
Zone – 3 — Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir
– October 3, 4 & 5 – Delhi
Zone – 4 — Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat & Goa
– September 26, 27 & 28 – Pune

RRCs starts with hands on workshop for residents on the Friday and the seats are allotted on first cum first served basis and will be closed with 96 registrations. They will be exposed training sessions on suturing, knotting, bowel anastomosis, staplers, and laparoscopic skills. Saturdays & Sundays will have clinical case discussions with 12 top students in the Zone selected through MCQ tests with four senior faculty handling each case as in MS/DNB exit examinations. This will truly be sessions with high level contemporary thoughts on the subject and will be the best opportunity for both residents and members to update their knowledge.
