Dr. P. Raghu Ram, President ASI inaugurated the annual Conference of West Bengal State Chapter of ASI held on 15 & 16 Feb 2020 in Digha, a seaside town near Kolkata.

Some 400 delegates participated in the Conference.

The President delivered Lalit Mohan Oration during the Conference. A Padma Bhushan awardee, Prof Bannerjee was one of the founding ASI Members & President ASI in 1941. He was the personal surgeon to President of India & operated upon Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore.

Dr S.P. Somashekar, President ABSI delivered a Guest lecture on Robotics and its relevance in modern day practice.
