Dear Friends

I am writing to you with regards to the recent global Public Health Emergency declared by the World Health Organisation in response to the pandemic effect created by COVID 19 virus.

As you will be aware, over 100, 000 have been affected globally associated with 3500 deaths world wide.

In India, with 31 positive cases and close to 30, 000 under close observation, the Govt. of India has righty passed a directive to avoid mass gatherings & Meetings.

The aim now should be to contain the transmission and prevent the spread of the virus.

A couple of days ago, a decision was taken to defer the National Executive Committee meeting scheduled on 21 March 2020.

I am aware of a few State/City Chapters/Section meetings, which are scheduled to be held during the months of March, April and May. However, in light of the COVID 19 pandemic, there shall be no meetings/programmes (Local/Regional/National) under the auspices of ASI or its Chapters/Sections during the months of March, April & May 2020.

I shall be in touch in a couple of month’s time when there is more clarity on the ground situation.

Trust we will all rise to this crisis situation and respect the decision made in the interest of our members and the Community at large.

Kindest regards.
Sincerely

Dr. P. Raghu Ram
